Nutrition deemed a growing challenge for health in the EU and beyond
Over half the EU adult population is now overweight or obese according to the "Health at a Glance: Europe 2010" report published by the European Commission and the OECD. The rate of obesity has more than doubled over the past 20 years in most EU Member States. This has considerable implications on health, health systems and on the wider economy. Europeans are Interested in Online Patient Education Programs
Half of Europeans using the Internet for health information are interested in online patient education programs from pharmaceutical companies, although just a small fraction are currently using these types of programs, according to Manhattan Research's Cybercitizen Health® Europe v10.0 research. The survey explored the digital media and online health behaviors of 3,000 online adults in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

Multidrug resistant bacteria remain a public health issue in Europe
